Yes it fits..you just need a pair of lci grills and you're good to go. Not sure of specific vendors but they're definitely around you just have to search.

So an M3 pre Lci hood can fit 2007 335i sport (LCI) without any modification. ??

2006-2008 models are LCi
2009 -2013 models are Pre-LCI

If you not replacing the bumper then why one need the Grills ? I thought Grills are part of the front bumper, and Hood goes on the Top..

Incorrect, Pre-lci comes first. Your dates are also wrong...

You'll need the new bumper as well as the new grills, I assume you are speaking about the E90.

hope the years are correct.

'05-'08 & late '08-'12

As for the other statement, I think a 328i could be an E90 or E92.
Was just saying that my reply would only be relevant for the E90...

E90 lci has the grills in the bumper only. Pre-lci has part of the grills on the hood/bonnet. The pre-lci bonnet can be modded to fit the lci bumper but unfortunately it seems that you cannot mod the lci bonnet to fit the pre-lci bumper. I'm speaking about the standard hood, the M3 hood should be the same though...
Hope that clears everything up.

The lci grills don't have the mustache or a place for them to go on the lci hood.

yeah ive only seen prelci hood with lci bumper http://www.7machine.com/bmw/97726.html
never the other way around.
And an OEM m3 hood WILL NOT fit non-m bumpers at all because the hood is wider to compensate for m3's wider body than the non-ms

Hmm I was thinking of just installing LCI hood and grilles on my PRE LCI M3 rep bumper. Should work with some modification. I don't see how it won't work unless the shape/size of the grilles are different between PRE LCI and LCI on the bumper? But I'll talk to my body shop about it. This will be my next project.

Im sure you can do it but the prelci grill is more squarish and two piece where the lci is more round and one piece. I think the lci grills are slightly larger too.

It will not fit. You need bumper and fenders arranged.

In order to use the LCI hood you will need an LCI bumper and grilles to go with it (I've done a LCI conversion). Save the cash and do it right, otherwise it will look horrible.

Also, the M3 hood is longer, not wider than non M.

Why would the fenders need to be arranged?

Is it necessary to have a LCI bumper? Is it because of the grille fitment? Just curious because other than that I don't see how the bumper would get in that way from installing the hood.

the LCI is a bit longer. Hood is longer, bumper is different and therefore, healdights are also different. Grilles are made for LCI as well.
Kind of sucks if you ask me.

are you referring to the e92??? the LCI E90 is not longer, the only difference are the hood, grills, front bumper and lights ( pre lci lights fit fine, just the internals of the lci lights change). Fenders do not have to be touched for the retrofit.
you can change out the fender liners and brake ducts as well if you want, but not necessary.

OK that cleared things up. I thought he was talking about E92 but wasn't too sure.

So it comes down to the grilles. Is it bigger or something? I was comparing pictures of a PRE LCI/LCI and the difference to me was the top area of the grilles where it was more rounded on a LCI which shouldn't be a problem since the hood will replaced right? Does my theory make sense? Lol.

Hmm maybe I will buy a used LCI grille and do a test fitment on my bumper.

No because the grills attach to the bumper. It no longer connects to the hood. If you were to put the lci grills on pre-lci you would have to mod the pre-lci grill area by shaving down the top or something to make the lci grills fit, and even then when the hood is open the lci grills will stand taller than the bumper itself.

The entire shape of the grilles are different. You might be able to force it to fit, but it will look off.
