Hello all. I have a 2011 328ix and ordered the BT adapter. I have both Google and Apple devices. Is one better than the other?
Thanks ~ Erik |

You should enable US corner markers, works for me. Currently when I have my car in Automatic stance, I have my AE burning and my Front amber corners are burning dimmed. |

fyi I also had an issue with the otg cable that connects between the odb cable and my android device. My first two otg cables wouldn't work, third one worked and then it was clear that my odb cable was incompatible with the BMWhat app....so I'm a little gun-shy about trying a non BMWhat supported cable. |

You can't really code with it. You can send pre configured settings. So you could do corner outs/window up on fob...... But you cannot read module files and do what you want. So if they don't have a feature you want that's it. Where as with NCS Expert you can edit raw text files in any way. And it's super easy. You can't modify VO info of modules either. If your car is older than 08 you have to use android because it has USB support. Apple is Wifii only. I use mine for code reading and clearing only. My iPhone Whatapp can't code my 07 335 though.

Older year cars require the Android version because it can use an USB cable. The iPhone version only uses wifii ODB which on older year BMW's can't maintain a good healthy connection. So on my 07 335 I can read errors, clear errors and read modules but not code them. I went back to NCS Expert and WinKFP.

i just got the cable from bmwhat for my 06 325xi, it didnt work.. but when testing the same cable with bmwlogger and trying to read codes, it did pull my ecu info..so in my case it seems to be something related to USB OTG on my pos galaxy s2. Gonna test the cable with another android phone to see what happens.

I got the full version of the bmwhat app on my android and also purchased their over priced cable and I still can't do anything on my 09 335 e93. I tried to code it and it checks on the ecu to come back with 0, I can't register a new battery cause I also get the message that it can't read from the ecu. What am I doing wrong?
