USB in glove box would not paly songs

My friend has 2011/3 E90 320d and is has SA609 and USB+Aux in center armrest. The car also has an USB port in the glove box. He is able to play songs through the center armrest USB port. But when we plug the USB device to the USB port in the glove box, we are unable to play the songs.

What could be going wrong?

The glove box USB is not able to playback music. It is only used for importing songs to the hard drive. Use the arm rest USB for all playback.

just import the music to the hardrive and you can play all you want and no need for usb stick anymore.
