Hi folks
Last week I left the car sleep outside and upon start up the engine started shaking, it was turning rough and when I started driving I was loosing power as it wasn't advancing like normal. After the car warmed up (5-10 mins later) everything went back to normal. I checked the codes with INPA and got these codes (see pic 2)! I cleared the codes and thought let me add some additives with my next gas fill up. Car seems to run a but smoother after adding it and since then no codes came up when I did my daily check with INPA. Although keep in mind that the car is always in a garage at home and at work... So I decided to test it again last night by letting the car sleep outside overnight. And unfortunately this morning on start up the engine was shaking again with an outside temp of 28F. But on top of that this time I got the engine yellow light in cluster (see pic 3). I try pressing on the gas pedal to maybe warm up the engine and when I did the engine light in the cluster started flashing so I stopped the engine and start it the car again (see link for video) When i restarted, this time around the warming light was gone. After letting it warm up and driving it for 5-10 mins everything was fine. No real lost of power whatsoever. I then read the codes with INPA once i got work and got the following codes (see pic 1). I last changed my plugs back on November 1st last year. I have a jb4 which I have removed two days ago. I'm thinking of checking and changing my spark plugs this weekend. Anyone would have any other hints or ideas what else I should do? Thanks

Normal things, Sparkplugs, Coil Packs, Check all of those and replace if needed. May be even fuel injectors, are you the first owner?

I was the second owner too, Previous owner has a JB4 most likley ran 85 because my car was acting up after a while. I took it in and they replaced my Fuel Injectors for 50$ under CPO. Considering I was told my car wasnt CPO when we bought it.

Ok changed the spark and coil and car is still rough on start up, but becomes normal once warm. I guess my next move will have to be the injectors. FML
I read them with INPA but not sure what to make/understand of this info. Can someone help me understand the reading in the pic please? On the both sides should the black lines fill up the green bar completely?? Thx

Not an expert on injectors and that kinda stuff. but looks like one of your injectors are at 1.99 and the others are at 2.2+? maybe it could be that one lol.

I just went through all of this....
If the problem goes away when the car warms up it is 100% injectors. It will get worse and worse until one or more of them sticks open and the car will be undrivable. I was able to get injectors for under $100 each from AutoPartsExpress.com. |
