Need side light replaced or do I upgrade? Plus LCI lights

I had a front side light go out yesterday. Are these a easy DIY job to replace?

I had been thinking of changing them for bright white bulbs, is this worth doing?

Also, I still haven't fitted the LCI lights that I have. What is the harness that I need and does anyone know anywhere good for coding? Or do it?

Cheers

I guess if you read the second thread, there is a video which shows you how to change these.

Whether to go for white LEDs or keep yellowish light is totally a personal preference.

Here is the harness and its part number.

Please bear in mind the years and its relevance to your car.

You can contact www.bmminiparts.com or your local stealer.

And once fitted, give me a shout for coding.

If you want white bulbs without coding, try the Philips Bluevision sidelight bulbs. They're not quite a match for OEM Xenon colour but they're pretty close. Plus they're halogen so it's a 5 minute job

You don't need coding for led side lights.
Coding mentioned above is for lci tail light retrofit.

As in its a 5 min job as they're no changes to make? What do you have to do with the others?

There seems a massive difference in price between the two options. £25 or £70/90.

Seen some bad reviews for the Philips. You rate them though Paul?
