Picked up wrong tires and rims

I Dont know much about tires hence my noob mistake.

Picked up a set of very good used winter nordics on rims. Offset is 5x120. They are 16 inch steel rims. I tried to fit one and the caliper is hitting the rim.

My question, can i still grab a 16 inch steel rim that would fit and what should i be looking for. Looks like its the rim offset that is wrong.

The tires are 205/55/16 what steel rims do i need. Looks like they were fitted on a jetta. Can i still user these tires ?

My car has 17 inch rims stock. If anyone has any input much appreciated.

Not 100% sure, but you may be able to run a spacer to push the rim out a bit to clear the calipers. Depends how much clearance you need. Might be worth checking into.

5x120 is the bolt pattern not the offset...
Everything has been covered before
Spend an hour or two doing research before you go spend money again

No way to say. For example there are some 17s that will clear 335i's calipers but most will not. Different shapes of the inner barrels account for this variance. You'll have to try and mount them up and see how close they are to working. Spacers may give you the clearance you need.

For your 335i you need a minimum of 17" wheel to clear the caliper on the front of your car. The tire size you need for the et35 offset is 225 45 17.

It is the outside of caliper not the face correct ? If that's the case then you probably are stuck unless it is minor in which case you can clearance the caliper a few mm

Yeah i figured i will be selling those tires and rims. The caliper hits the inside of the rim. The rears fit its just the front that is the issue. Larger caliper.
