WTB Aftermarket Oil Cooler

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Hello all, I'm looking to purchase an aftermarket oil cooler. Also, I'm open to any ideas to keeping oil temps down by more air flow to the stock cooler (If that's possible or actually works).

Try here ---> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Don't use the black adaptor or the blue screw fittings. Also order two mishmoto AN Fittings to install on the top part of the oil cooler housing (two hex screws)

SN: Might have to shave down the inside of the hood half a inch over the AN fittings due to rubbing. That worked for me and now im sitting at 205 degress daily

How long have you been using it for? I’m always a bit leery of amazon/eBay parts. Any oil leaks? Also, does it replace the stock one, or do you use both?

ive been using it for 5months. Yeah people are always worried about using non-bmw parts but the fact is that bmw isn't the cheapest and there are a lot of company's out there that can produce good quality for less cost.

And I ran them together, So yes Im running dual oil coolers

I see, is this the fitting?

Also, are you familiar with derale oil coolers or summit racing? Someone is selling one and I'm unsure of the brands. I've done some research, but can't find out much whether they're built to last.

Oooh that is tempting. I see all these cheap amazon/eBay coolers, but I feel like they're prone to leak.
