325i, 328i, and the 330i are for the most part the same.

So yes.

The BMW performance exhaust fits on all the NA 3.0Ls so the SS exhaust shouldn't be a prolem. Also, all three engines share the same exhaust manifolds.

+1, the biggest difference on those cars are air intake manifolds + valvetronic timing/bore stroke.

It will fit but don't waste your money on the full exhaust. I would just go with the Supersprint centre pipes w/o resonator and do a muffler delete.

I saw that every day to this question. Why pay that much money for a cat back its crazy! Just go to an exhaust shop have a y-pipe installed to replace your resonator, then either straight pipe instead of a muffler, or get a Top Speed muffler or a Magnaflow muffler... Practically any exhaust system will work, it's so pointless to spend 1 grand + for a crappy cat back, which is practically the same as an OEM muffler.

If it's a US spec 325/25/30 bore and stroke are identical. Part numbers for pistons and blocks are identical.

As for power loss, I don't really know about that but for a car like min which doesn't have a lot of power, I'd buy an exhaust purly based on sound provided it doesn't throw codes or rusts off in a month.

well the thing is id like to eventualy convert the rear to centralized quads, and if i were to get a y pipe wouldnt i need to take out the trunk compartment as well. if so that would require more work =/

I have done a lot of research on the whole power loss thing. with a new muffler you may key word may lose a couple ft/lbs of tq in the low rpms, but you gain at least 5-8 hp or so in the upper RPMs. so when you think about it, not too many of us are going to the drag strip on a daily basis. it worth losing a few ft/lbs for nice sound. I wouldnt spend the money on a full system unless it was bmw performance. but thats my opinion. I have the Top Speed pro 1 muffler and love it. its cheaper and has nice sound/good gains in high rpm's.

with the muffler and res delete, yea you proabably do lose a little power, too much backpressure lost, but on the other hand you also lose about 60 or so pounds with deleting it all. so every 10 lbs is 1hp, in theory. so it probably evens out.

with that in mind how much does the stock muffler weigh? I have heard everywhre from 35-65 pounds and the resonator about 14 lbs.

No, but it does replace it.
