Upgrade Professional to logic7
Hey guys.
I own a en 90LCI, witch came with stock base ice. I´ve upgraded the speakers to logic7, but they really miss some watts. Therefore i have been looking to buy a logic7 amp, but i dont got the 20 pin plug in the trunk. i cant find any crystal clear answer of how demanding this would be to plug in. Soldering, If you guys could tell me what i takes, it would be nice. I dont mind if i have to put some wires from front to back, and soldering is no problem. |

If I were you I would look into the Helix Match DSP/amp, or something similar.

http://www.monsteraudiodesign.co.uk/...one-120-4-dsp/ read and study this first the above is just one of many possibility but is a good one for the the base system. And it will have more impact and clarity than L7. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 Buy a Harness is the first thing it says in the above thread. I can't recall which part# It's either:
1) 61136901731 or 2) 61136984750 One of those lets you tap into the connector under the seats (There's 2 of them, one on the left, one on the right). In that 4 wire connector under the seats, 2 wires are the full range signal that you can send back to an amplifier in the trunk. The other two sends a signal to your front doors. Basically, take both sides, and send the signals to the amp, then for your doors, send from the amp back up to the same connector so you can keep your door speakers connected using the stock wiring. All of this is providing your amp accepts the signals from under the seats. Hopefully, you get an amp like the Helix Match PP82DSP that takes the signals you send from the front, and allows you to split it out for all your doors, underseats, tweeters, sub. Technic makes a harness that does this already, though, I'm not sure if he ships to Denmark. |

Okay. i will just upgrade the Logic7 speakers with a normal amp
Would the Helix Match PP82DSP be enough for the whole car? Or should i use the Match for the speakers and, then another one for the subs? |

The Match has 8 channels and you can bridge...
I would set it up as follows: CH 1 & 2: FL & FR door mids/tweets CH 3 - 6: Bridged to underseats CH 7 & 8: Rears connected in series (4 ohm load) As far as I know, the Match does not have center channel capabilities and quite honestly, you don't need a center unless you want to optimize for every seat in the car. Down the road you should consider replacing the front door speakers, because the L7s are not that great to begin with. (you could probably have gotten better speakers for less money that would work better with aftermarket amps)

Can you bridge the amp? Didnt knew that.
So you want me to take + on channel 3, and minus on channel 4, for the left sub, and channel 5+ to channel 6-, right? I didnt install the center. Never heard any good of it, and ill dont se how its gonna do better than stereo. Does helix provide a harnes, that goes from front to back? |
