Front plates or no?

I know its illegal not to have front plates in NJ but is it like a case of tinted window?
How many people dont have there front plates? Noticed the car looks alot better without front plates.
Are they like tinted windows like getting pulled over on random based or is it more serious than tinted windows?
Just wanted some opinions.

Please dont get a front plate. If you get pulled over, be very courteous and respectful to the officer. Tell him that you didn't know it was illegal

go no plate bro!! it looks SO MUCH BETTER!! and its a no point, 45 dollar ticket if you get pulled. for me, id rather pay 45 bucks a few times to have my car look that much better. I have had no plate on for 6 months, and had no issues with it....

No front plate here either. Cops, while you may hate them, hate paperwork even more.

I do have a towhook adapter license plate ready to go if I will be travelling far out of my area

no front plate looks way better, although it does get annoying after two tickets which happened to me you start to ask yourself is it worth it? because i missed my train due to a cop pulling me over for no plate lol

Ive been pulled over a few times in the past month and not once did they even care about my not having a front plate or tints.

Yea seems like state troopers and county cops dont really care but town cops are assholes sometimes especially where i live near Fort Lee and Pal Pk and Edgewater.

Drove my car for about a month without front plate. Then coming of 78 one night there was a checkpoint & a ticket.

dude, you're crazy!

You KNOW Pal Park and Fort Lee cops are the worst. They are gonna be pulling you over left and right for the smallest things.

But like everyone said, removing the front plates look SOO much better. I'm tempted, but I just dont want to go through the hassle of dealing with the cops, especially in the Bergen County area.

no plates please. and get bumperplugs. if you dont drive like an ass, they wont fuck with you....ive never seen a cop pull over someone JUST for plates, if they do there an asshole cop

I'm sure the only reason why Jon (OP) got pulled over was the fact that he had an asshole cop pull him over. They are notorious in our area (especially Pal Park/Fort lee). Then again, in MOST of Jersey, cops are pretty lenient. I believe another area to watch out for is the Edison/Metropark area. Havent heard of good stories (especially with front plates + tints).

i got pulled over for no front plate... but that was back in my e36... and i was on rt17 in traffic... so i wasnt doing anything wrong.. lol

I got pulled over, an hour after I took off my front plates, couple years ago on the AC expressway.

and yes it was only for the front plates. ass
