pronav 2012 night mode... how?

Hi all,

I've gone into the nav settings and ticked the night mode box but both split screens are in day mode. Any ideas.

I have noticed driving around in the day the split screen somtimes goes to dark colours (I take it this is night mode)

All help appricited..

I had 2009-2 software which I set up a shortcut to run in night mode and I've upgraded to 2013 and my shortcut is still working.

I will check my settings when I'm in the car tomorrow and let you know as it's definitely possible to get it working. Why it's not automatic on such a clever car with so many sensors baffles me!

You need to make sure the live traffic is off otherwise the map won't go to night mode... It's under map settings in the Nav menu.

Ah, that's why - I put live traffic on..

Why is that, so I can't have live traffic and night mode on! Live traffic is brilliant for nav diversions but at night the norm screen is too bright I day colours!

I checked mine this morning and I have traffic and dynamic routing enabled and it still let me switch to night view.

I don't have connected services and mine is an early CIC so there may be something that was introduced later that I haven't got.
