I recently took out my Dynavin 7 radio & installed a Pioneer 5700 NEX.

I used a Connects2 CTSBM005.2 for Pioneer wiring harness to connect the quad lock, in order to retain my steering wheel controls.

You have to cut off the end of the harness that supposed to go to the radio & wire it to the harness Pioneer provides. That was pretty easy, as all the wires matched up color wise..

I had an after market back up camera hooked up to the Dynavin.

In the front, you have an RCA & a red power wire. I have hooked up the red wire to the white/ purple reverse wire.

The head unit knows when I'm in reverse as it switches to the reverse camera screen, but it's blank.

The camera worked when hooked up to the Dynavin.

In the rear, I have it hooked up to the ground & power of the reverse light. I also have it hooked through a signal filter & a relay. Trust me, the Dynavin required both to make it work….

I'm thinking the combination of the filter & relay is my hang up.

It's abundantly obvious that the camera is not getting power.

Yep, I turned on the reverse camera in the Pioneer's settings.

Any ideas????????

Please Advise….

Figured it out… it was the relay.. once I took the relay off, it worked… idk 🤷*♂️.

The relay worked on the camera when the Dynavin 7 was in. Upon installing the Pioneer, it didn't work… go figure?

I did put the signal filter on & the camera still powers on…

Why did you ditch the Dynavin for the Pioneer?
