Hello all,

I am nearing 100k miles on the 330xi. Come spring time I would like to do suspension work in order to make her feel fresh again.

I will never track the car.

However, I am most likely looking into KW V1 coilovers because a great deal on them has popped up. I was set on Koni/Eibach before this deal came up. Anyways, at this mileage, I am asking for assistance on choosing what suspension bits will compliment the coilovers as well as increase the longevity of this car. Again, keep in mind I will not track this car ever. I simply want a long lasting and better performing street car.

Just a simple list and specific brands/products would be greatly appreciated.

At your exact same mileage I was in the same boat as you. I did a whole front end refresh with new M3 arms, tie rods and sway bar linkages. For the suspension I went did the koni/eibach and all associated mounts. Car felt brand new again and didn't regret anything. My suggestion to you is to take the time and do all associated bushings. I think this summer I will bring the rear up to the same as the front with new control arms and bushings. See my garage for a picture off all the new components I used. Sounds like you and I have similar needs. At a minimum if your doing new coilovers change all the mounting hardware. I would also recommend new tension struts as they tend to take the most beating. Then you need to decide if you want to go the new control arm route as it can get pricey fast. Do you notice any clunking or loosesness in the arms?

You can tell it can add up very quickly, which was the main reason I didn't go nuts on the rear at the time. Good luck!

Edit 2: I was bored and decided to see what it would take to update ALL the rear suspension bushings to bring my car to a whole new ride, I threw in the ECS trailing arms for kicks technically they wouldn't make a difference. This does not include rear sub-frame bushings or any transmission/diff bushings which should also be considered at this milage:

Aside: Of all my posted garage pics the rolling shot is the only one that shows the post install ride height. I think the drop is PERFECT and the ride quality is equal to OEM. I DD it mainly so take it as it is, but the handling was definitely improved. I think the M3 arms made the biggest difference in feel, with a slight increase of NVH due to the M3 bushings. All other pics were on my old OEM sport suspension.

ECS Tuning, they just have the best website in IMO and always have the misc. screws and items to go with it.
