Great it's got fixed. But do stay cautious because the remaining roughness may come up more often as the weather warms up. I guess not even the dealer knows what was wrong with it, since everything was clean?

The rough idle is back, but only on short sits on warms sits. If the car sits for about a few hours on a warm start there is no rought idle. But if I can feel the rough idle when it sits between 5mins to a few hours and especially if I am running mutliple arrands in a few hours too.... So DISAPPOINTING.... But on cold starts there is no sign of the rough idle...

I have the same problem.
Similar car : 325i E90.
I just posted a similar thread.
Here's what I did so far but with no avail. I had an software update at BMW, I tried to cleaned the MAF (it was clean asa whistle), I changed the temperature sensor (which was faulty according to the diagnostics - unfortunately it had no effect), I also changed the oil pressure switch. No difference what so ever. It's fine when it's cold but as it warms up it starts to fluctuate. It's clear to me that it's an OVERHEATING problem. I have read before that my N52 heats up excesively.

I also changed the Suction hood (13717541737).
Someone on the forum posted that they had a similar problem which was due to a small rupture in air admision. I changed part 13 in the diagram below.

Any other ideas?
