Tried to go fast today.

Pb et and mph but still in the 12s lol.
Sorta not funny I want to go faster but that was it after 3 goes. other runs were 12.1 12.3 at 125 and 126 with boost under target.

Accidentally warmed the tires up so they were ready but its just hard to hook on non drag strip places...

1/4 12.02 @128mph.
1/8 8.11 @ 97mph

The front half was slower then my pb on 17psi but obviously made up a bit in the back half with 26psi of boost.

pb 1/8th is 7.71 @84mph with 5.07 330ft and 3.75 0-60mph at let iff early like real early.

Todays run..pb but I want faster obviously.

Do you still have the two powerglide gears mapped to the six standard gears?
If so, can you limit the boost for the powerglide first gear (standard gears 1-3?) so you get the better short time and then increase boost for the rest so you can get the better top end?
Would that help while on street tyres and an unprepped surface?

I got the gears to read a few months ago.
I found the gear factor and changed them in tunerpro but powerglide gears must be out if tbe tables extent as it didnt work.

With JB4 boost by gear does not work.

Doesnt matter what I set the gears boost at it just goes to whatever the map target is.

It would be awsome if it worked because in my 1st gear it shows 1, 2 then 3 very evenly while at wot.

I emailed Terry and had stupid responses provided, even emailed trebilia but he had no interest just told me to seek a local mechanic to get powerglide to read gears. I literally earthed a wire and ecu reads gears.

I have had very poor responses from n54 tech with multiple straight forward legit questions that should be easy to answer. I got 1 response from dave asking me to log from 2krpm and what fuel am I using when my question was about something totally irrelevant to fuel.

100% boost by gear and traction control is needed.

I plan on getting emtron kv8 next.

I don't envy you trying to tune this yourself.
Would a custom tune on map 6 (or map 8 with WMI) allow you to dial in your own boost targets?

I have turned the spool down as much as I can.

I need a 4 port boost controller and a smaller wastegate spring. I have a 4 port controller to install next time.

If I was keeping the 6266 turbo on I would change a few things so it will bo better 1/4 times but its coming off in a couple of weeks after roll racing event.

I was going to put the 7675 for the roll racing but Im still waiting on a wastegate flange. Order 2 weeks ago..
7675 is whats needed.

Hi Brule, if you have some good tyre then its going to be something around suspension geometry causing the hook issue. Turn 'all the boost' down (not by gear) if you have to across the board. To figure out how low you need to go to get the best 60ft and 0-100 with the setup you have. Then progressively set about fixing the hardware so you can hook with weeny power and then dial it up. So things like diff braces , LSD , rear suspension and front suspension setup and alignments. In the short term , throw lots of heavy shit in the boot to see if it helps.
Your goal would be 1.6s or lower and 3s or better in the 0-100 at least with DRs. This will help with rolls too. Give or take for shitty roads vs prepped track.

Yea all stuff I'm working on.

Kwv3 Springs and valving are to stiff. Not that I can tell on a drag strip yet.
rear has a few degrees of camber i need to change it toe is also facing out on each side for previous track setup.
Diff is stiff as it can get.

So camber and toe adjustment needed and different springs and drag dampeners.

Hi Brule. Your diff ratio (3.08) wouldn't be helping in achieving better acceleration. With your 1st gear ratio at 1.82 and the diff at 3.08, it would be like me trying to launch somewhere between 2nd and 3rd gear. I tried a second gear launch last meeting and only achieved a 1.975s 60' compared to 1.74s in 1st gear. Duck 101 was running the standard diff gearing (3.46) in his when he did 9.8s. With both of you running powerglides, there is a huge difference between 3.08 and 3.46 gearing. The 3.46 gearing would also make the acceleration in top gear better and therefore a quicker time. Just something to think about. I don't know what ratios you can get for the Ford diff you are running.

3.46 is at max rpm range for 140mph. (edited This would be quickest et but maxing out rpms)
3.27 or 3.15 much better I'm sure he would of went faster with a different diff. ( edited a 3.3 or 3.27 may have been able to get a quicker et 3.15 would probably be to low to improve et )

Thats why I decided to keep 3.08 diff.
I will likely try a few ratios later but with a small turbo its not really worth drag racing with it.

So yes diff ratio is in my sites but Ill wait for data from 7675 before buying another 1.

keeps saying my msg is to short but I jyst added things in the brackets abovr.

Stiff suspension can be tricky. If you have height adjust on the suspension/coilovers. Try getting it raised as high as you can both front and back and if you have rebound adjustment on the front go as soft as you can. I have the AST4150s suspension kit, basically a circuit setup. Raising height to max , helped alot for traction in my case.

I think the 3.08 diff might be quite good once the power is in.

My front is currently softest compression and rebound. I need to slow mo a video while launching so I can tell whats going on with lift.

Rear is over the max height with the threads out of the extender thing 50% already.

The diff is definitely not good for a heavy car and 600hp or whatever it is.

A 3.55 will likely be next but who knows it could rev out before the finish line.

Current setup.

Turbo will be coming off next wknd after roll racing.
I have the parts to put the precision 7675 back on and 4 inch dump pipe, 45mm turbosmart wastegate.
Wonder if it willl still be in the 12s lol.

Fuel system is 2 TI274 pumps, 1 low amp lift pump 8an line into 2 6an lines port injection via Plazmaman intake manifold with bosch 750cc injectors. Radium surge tank. Turbosmart fuel reg. enough fuel to pop pistons and throw rods for sure.

The attached article is interesting to read as it explains how complex it is to get the correct stall in your TC depending on a number of factors. Brule did you ever get your car on the dyno? The yno results are important in determining the stall.

I ran the 6266 setup agsin at roll racing but upped the boost from last time.

Last time I ran 17 and 20psi 2lat 10 degrees advance.

This time I put it in map 5 on JB4 which is 26psi.

I spent a long time out hot lapping the car. The temperatures were well under control.
I did 15 runs, just checked my logs. I literally did 14 back to back runs and engine oil temps stayed under 120 the whole time. Transmission got stayed 85-90 degrees thanks to 2 pwr coolers.

Raced all sorts including, wrx, ve ss turbo, plenty of barras, r33 rb25, starlet turbo with nos, datsun 1200, supercharged Ls, s13 drift car with supercharged LS over 700hp- 800hp, Hilux with 383 or similar na. Had a good run with a barra but stayed 2car lengths the whole track. S13 was slow off the start but had some power and come back quick still not sure if I won that.

Best races were with a s13 ls supercharged and hilux with unknown v8 engine.
Not sure who won between s13 and me as I got out and he was coming in hot at the finish.

I got knocked in the 1st round unfortunately by the hilux. lost by .02 second and was running him down quick after he got out 1st.

Overall
Quickest were
datsun 1200 with ca18 nos big turbo
Some massive 1000-1200hp old camaro
s13 ls supercharged 750hp or so
Hilux unknown v8 engine

I will call myself around 4th or 5th quickest.

No issues with the car.
Just 1st gear bang 2nd gear no wheel slip just go.

Cant wait for the next one.
I will have time now to put the precision 7675 on and sort a few things out for next year.
Had a great night racing all sorts of cars and had a trouble free night drive there and back no problem ac on.

Good to hear you had a great nights racing Brule. Car sounds like it was running very well. No doubt the traction would be better on the track than on the road.
