About to spend $1500 on OEM M3 Mirrors.
I think the mirrors on the E90 are really lame and the opposite of sporty, changing these out will make a HUGE difference to the look of the car. I wish they weren't so spendy but oh well.
Unless anyone has OEM mirrors they want to sell me between now and Tuesday morning, I'll be ordering all these parts new from Tischer. Part Description Part Number Price getbmwparts.com Left Mirror Assembly 51168044795 $466.05 Right Mirror Assembly 51168044796 $466.05 Left Mirror Cover 51168043225 $59.82 Right Mirror Cover 51168043226 $59.82 Set of Mirror Base Plates 51168044800 $12.45 Set of Retaining Elements 51168044793 $14.09 Fillister Head Screws 7146961019 $0.41 total $2.46 Left Mirror Glass 51167230979 $222.38 Right Mirror Glass 51167230980 $233.26 TOTAL COST $1,536.38

To each their own.
Some will spend that money on Cast Replica wheels, which I think is an equal waste of money.

If you think $1500 for mirrors is a waste of money, what do you call this:

You could get yourself a nice exhaust set-up for 1500, or an Msport bumper, or new wheels, or OSS headlights. The list is endless, I feel for the little difference it makes its not worth the money, but if you've got the money to burn its your car man. P.S.- I like my cast replica wheels, and so do the bitches. |

I think you should get an exhaust/quad diffuser first, then get some really nice MORR or HRE wheels and rubber, a tune (I'm not even going to suggest one simply to avoid starting a flame war, check the N55 engine tuning section), OSS rings or a DIY-job, oh, and a hardwired V1 radar detector.

Got it already
Everything else you mentioned I am simply not interested in. Keep my car conservative and understated. My car will have the "Performance Edition" tune, I'll live with that for a few months until I get bored with it, then upgrade.

If the OP is content about the price then let him spend his 1500 how ever he wants...just dont forget to add the 5 dollar handling fees + shipping cost to that total.

Your car of course, but if you reallly wanted it, you would have pulled the trigger already not posted up about it. Theres a long list of things to do before 1500 dollar mirrors |

Anyway, thanks for convincing me this is a waste of money guys. Just went out and spent $800 on a new set of Ping Irons and a new bag.
