Alufelgen SF-71 19 inch on stock suspension

Just got these wheels mounted so thought i'd share some pictures in case anyone wanted to see 19 inch wheels on stock xDrive suspension. The wheel gap wasn't nearly as bad as i was expecting and i can't even fit 3 fingers in between the wheel and fender. Even though the gap's not terrible I still hate the way it handles so i'll probably do coilovers in the near future. Tires are Hankook Ventus V12's 235/35/19 on the front and 265/30/19 on the back.

That looks great! You're right about the handling, I hate mine compared to my 08 335i with the sport package.

Yea going above 80 on highways is actually frightening at times because it feels as though the car is floating... Suspension is definitely my next major mod.

I was surprised because i've seen 19 inch on stock xDrive and the wheel gap has made it look like a 4x4. Even though it's not that bad I think i do need suspension soon

Yeah, the gap on some of the X-drive cars on the forum is unreal. Some pictures show the gap at the top of the tire significantly bigger than the sides of the wheel, almost like the car is still on the shipping blocks. In any case, wheels look great!

Yea i've seen those that you're talking about. I think for some reason the E92's have worse wheel gap than the E90's. Also, thanks I think they were the perfect fit and I love the way they changed the look!

You're right, the wheel gap on your e90 looks much better than my e92 w/ 19's.

Nice looking wheels!

If the gap bothers you, why did you you get 235/35 and not 235/40? (Samething with 265/30...)

Well the gap doesn't really bother me i was surprised that it was this good. I was expecting to see much more of a gap so i'm actually happy. I still want to do suspension to get rid of the little gap that is there and improve how the car handles. The xDrives suspension is absolutely terrible... I didnt' get 235/40 because i bought the wheels used with 500 miles on them and i used what they came with. I also like the lower profile of 235/35

You really can't play around with the xdrive too much when it comes to tire sizes, the closer in diameter the better and it's always good to have a lower profile just in case you decide to do a drop.

I read on here somewhere that BMW states that a max difference of just 1% in tire diameter is allowable. When you do the math, that can be difficult. ie. 25.6 in. front and 25.7 rear is ok, but a 25.8 rear is greater than a 1% difference. Just curious, since I just got my first xi, is anyone nunning a slightly larger than 1% difference and have you experienced any trouble???

Well, I know that 6 revolutions per mile difference is .8%......which is getting real close to the edge. I kept mine at 3 revolutions per mile difference because I always see the XI's at the dealership that way. I'm think that 7 revs per mile would be cutting it close but it should still work.

Well if i do drop it it's not going to be slammed. I'd probably keep it at 1 finger in between the wheel and the fender. The main reason i want a drop is to fix the crappy xDrive suspension and not for aesthetics. Maybe i'll lower suspension on my priority list though..

Love those wheels. Is it just me, or have there been a ton of "I put wheels on my stock suspension x-drive" threads lately? Just an observation, I agree that it doesn't look as bad as expected. Nice car, man!

Hahaha i've noticed that too and I think it's due to spring and nice weather finally being here.
