***UPDATE 3rd coat 12/09/12 10:13am*** Final coat
It takes 20mins for the final coat to dry, but 48hrs to cure to it's correct color. Once it's dry, I'll have to wetsand it with 3000grit to remove any shine for an OEM look. for anyone who wants to do this, 32oz bottle isn't enough to convert from black to cinnamon, I need to order more to do the door skins I hope it doesn't get more orange than what it currently is at

The project is quite easy, if it fades in 5 years, just redo it

seat finally dried! not sure why it's shiny in the pics, but it's matte in person. the seat bottom was just placed there for pic purposes, it's not snapped down and that little black mark you see will be invisible. Now onto the front seats!

Here is another update, I can't install the lower portion or the outer sides of the rear seat yet because I have to wait 48hrs to cure

Looking very nice, the how 2 you wrote when did the E46 was excellent, I remember being real impressed with it.
Good work looking forward to the final pics. I use my car most days, when I get the new one, I'd be tempted, but can you drive with the passenger seat missing or will it throw up errors? |

***Update 120912 7:13pm***
Front passenger seat, not quite done with it yet, some touch-up will be needed with the acrylic brush in certain spots, but it will all blend together. More than likely no more updates until next weekend, I'm beat, and I'm out of dye until leatherique mails another batch out to me

Very nice work, I have cinnamon in one of my cars and that looks more like my saddle interior, but maybe just your camera, my cinnamon looks much more brown with a hint of red.
Looks great - black leather is boring! Rob

Looks great the color of the seats looks oem. One thing I can't believe you didn't prep the sides of the rear seats. Over spray when the rear arm rest looks horrible.

Not done yet with everything I have black fabric dye that will take care of that . You apply it with a paint brush diluted with water.

I was debating between saddle brown and cinnamon myself, I chose cinnamon because it has more burnt orange qualities in all light whereas saddle brown is brown with just hints of burnt orange depending on light.
