Radiator fan working on and off

My radiator fan is misbehaving and causing the engine to sometimes overheat when idle or in traffic.

I have used ISTA to trigger the fan multiple times and while it went full speed the first couple of times, it barely turned the other two times.

Besides the fan itself, is there anything else I need to look at? There are no fault codes on ISTA so I have to play the guessing game.

Hey OP, the fans on these cars will turn on and off based on water temps and speed, things like that. But I'd check the fan relay as its possible that its malfunctioning to some degree. It's a pretty cheap part.
