Constant 12V (Terminal 30) in the fuse box inside glove compartment.
I need to get to terminal 30 from my android head unit too to get a constant 12V and I prefer not to run the wire all the way to battery terminal in the trunk or the jump terminal under the hood.
I read and understood about terminal 15, 30, 30G, 30GF. This head unit has a yellow wire that I have to run to constant 12V. Where can I access it in the fuse box? Hmmm, maybe good idea to run it to a 30GF as I would rather losing it settings than car not starting. I understand I might need a fuse tap adapter of some sort. I have a 2008 328i E90 and I understand there are a few different versions of fuse locations for E90s. |

If i'm not mistaken you should find the fuse you are looking for in the glovebox behind the little shield that has 2 screws on each side. The shield will have a fuse box diagram inserted behind it that should give you an overall look at where each fuse is.

Right. That I know. Need to know which fuse / fuse slot to get constant 12V, which is like directly connecting to the battery positive. I hate to run it to the trunk or under hood passing thru the firewall.

I ran direct from the Battery -- because I was running rear-view camera power/ground/RCA video as well. You might consider doing the same, even if not currently installing a rear-view camera. You could store the unused wires under the trunk cover for eventual later usage.
I wound up tapping into the TCU microphone input as well (running those wires with the others back to the HU) to re-use my OEM microphone, although there is alternative place to tap underneath the glove box. |

I would plug it into the slot on the fuse box that represents the OBD connector. That slot is normally blank. I can't remember what the slot number is as it varies from car to car.

You need to run the yellow wire with an in-line fuse near the end, to the battery. Lots of guys have tried to find the constant, open fuse in the box and very, very few have succeeded. |

I believe terminal 30gf powers these modules so maybe tap in to those fuse locations:
AHM - Trailer module (as of model year 09/2007) CA - Comfort Access (as of model year 03/2007) CCC - Car Communication Computer CNAV - Navigation system China Combox - Combox with telematics JNAV - Japan navigation system KNAV - Navigation system Korea Instrument cluster - Instrument panel (model year 09/2007 to 03/2009) M-ASK - Multi‐audio system controller TCU - Telematic Control Unit (only US version) |

30GF is off when the car is in deep sleep when DME thinks the battery voltage is too low or something is drawing current even it is not supposed to.
30 is the real 12V constant. I ran the wire to the jumping terminal under the hood via the hole thru the ebox fan (not the blade hole but one below it.) |
