Better Radar Detector Mounting Ideas
Hey wanted to pick your brains for ideas on better radar detector mounts. I currently use the small suction cup mounts on my Uniden R7 and Uniden R3 but I'm tired of having to replace the suction cups after a few months of them being on the windshield.
I know there's plenty of mounting systems out there but it appears that most rely on the rear view mirror beam to mount, which these cars make very difficult to mount to since its a tiny section. I don't want to order a bunch of random ones off Amazon then have to return a bunch of them because they don't work properly in the E90. Any ideas appreciated! |

I have my Valentine One mounted by the rear view mirror, with suction cups. Only issue I ever have is when it's extremely hot or cold out, but haven't had to replace the suction cups in the 20 years I've owned the V1

I have my Uniden R1 "hard wired" and mounted on the dash, just to the right side of the gauge cluster. I have velcro taped to the dash and the bottom of the unit. Directly in my line of sight and turns on and off with the ignition. Wires are hidden for the moat part so you don't really see anything but the R1 unit.
