Stock Rear Inlet Install
I'm going to be putting stock inlets back in (don't ask why) and was wondering if it's possible to install the rear inlet without removing the engine. To remove it when installing VTT inlets, I had to cut the inlet at the turbo. To install it would I need to lower the engine, or maybe just remove the valve cover?

I was able to remove my rear inlet in one piece. The subframe was out of the car so I was able to lower the engine and move it around a bit. Also the turbos were off the car. It was still very tight but doable.

I'll have the subframe out too so I'll give it a shot.

I know you said not to ask why, but I wanna know why lol
I also have relocated inlets and I have considered putting the stock ones back on as well. The rear inlet popped off once before and was a pain in the balls to fix. Haven't been under the car in a little while to know if it popped back off. I'm hoping it's fine but wouldn't doubt the little shit popped off again. I purchased my car with the inlets already installed but I wouldn't suggest anyone goes the inlet route unless they really feel the need to squeeze every last drop of performance out of their car. |
