I can believe that. Catback exhausts, which is not much more than what the res delete is, but adds 2.5 inch piping and louder mufflers, have given 10-18 rwhp. The PROcede added isn't really doing anything more than the exhaust by itself as the PROcede is not custom tuned for the exhaust, they are the standard tune that stock exhaust owners have. So the extra 10-15 hp guys with exhaust and PROcede are seeing, is strictly from the exhaust. Really, you think the Nittos and no LSD are better than good street tires and LSD?? Guess we'll find out in the fall. |

Oh SoCal, I didn't know you had a manual?
The red interior looks awesome on the black car btw. I wanted to listen to your exhaust from inside the car too, forgot. Next time! BTW which tires are you running on? |

I understand where you're coming from on this, I want to see what kind of times i get just the way i would be set up on the street if someone pulled up next to me and wanted to race. I dont want to run DR's to get a better time on the track cause then i wont know what im running on the street with my regular tires on my 19's. I was wondering Terry if your car is always on those wheels and DR's? |

I think I remember him telling me he should get another 10 or so whp out of cars with an exhaust and "stage 1" tune rather than just the base "stage 0" tune. I don't know, but you are probably right about the gains of the res delete being 1/2 what a cat back system is. Still not bad for a few hundred dollars labor. I forgot to hop in your car and listen to it too, shit! |

Thanks!! Yeah mine is a 6 speed. My tires are vredestein 275/30/19's they dont grip very well though. I am gonna get something better for my next tires, maybe Michelin PS2's or Sportcups. My tires have a 280 treadwear.

Nice runs all.
To help answer the exhaust question, I had a custom exhaust made with 2.5 inch pipes, no crossover and mangaflow mufflers. Originally, I had left the 2ndary cats in and later had them removed. Unfortunately, I did not get a pre/post dyno from factory exhasut to custom. However, I did get a pre/post on just removing the secondary cats. I gained an average of 7 hp across the entire curve and about 7.5 at the peak on a dyno-dynamics dyno. These dyno's typically turn our lower numbers than dynojets, and we did not apply any correction to make dynojet style numbers. |

On the "stage 1" stuff, if your exhaust flows better the car can take a little more timing, maybe its close to the difference between 91 octane gas and 92. |

Those are 555 regulars, not the 555R's. Those are OK tires, but not the best. The 555R's are drag tires with a treadwear rating of 100. Other good ones are Pilot Sport Cups & I believe BF Goodrich makes a set as well. Another good tire is Falken RT-615's, not quite a DR, but gives you a bot more tread life & is a hell of a track tire as well. |
