My E92 330d M-Sport

Hi folks,

Sold my E90 330i not too long ago but decided to change...

Found this on Auto Trader as a private sale, the guy was very thorough, sent me loads of pics, of the iDrive status for brakes etc, scanned service book, MOT etc etc. So took a flight on Sleazyjet to Luton with a mate, and boosted back up the road from London to Aberdeen on one tank with 50 miles spare

The auto box made it so easy to drive, and makes cruise control work so much better. Came back over Fettercairn and used the sport mode with the paddle shift and it was spot on for a bit of proper driving. Even after that drive I felt mint.

Nice low miles example, wheels have scuffs and there is a mark on the skirt that I will get painted. He didn't tell me about this, but knocked a ton off for that. Will be over to bodyshop next week no doubt. Being from London there are hardly any chips on it which is ideal.

Spec:

330d M-Sport
Le Mans Blue Metallic
Auto flappy paddle
iDrive with Professional navigation
Bluetooth with Telematics
Full electric memory seats with lumbar compressors
Heated front seats
Cruise control
19" 225m wheels
Rear parking sensors
Extended light package (under handle lighting)
Xenon headlights
Multifunction wheel obviously
BMW SOS
BMW comfort access (stores drivers seat, mirrors etc on key).
Electric seat belt arm (standard on Coupe)
Auto dim mirror
Graduated tint windscreen
Tilting passenger mirror when reversing

Then all the usual M-Sport gear...

I fitted the BMW Performance black kidneys this morning, and spent a good 4 hours painting the calipers silver and the hubs satin black. Looks fresh. Also fitted some new BMW locking nuts as the internal spline ones that were fitted were crap.

I've got the Eibach Pro Kit springs, carbon M3 rear spoiler, LED angel eye bulbs (fucking expensive) and smoked plates to go on this week coming hopefully.

Couple of pics, I F*CKING LOVE IT

Fitted a carbon rear lip from SSDD:

Fitted some H&R lowering springs, 35 front 25 rear. Then fitted some 313 reps from BM Autosport.

Also Superchipped, silly amount of torque now

Cracked on with the LCI rear light swap. Had to de-pin the harnesses from BMW to get them to match. I then took the car to a specialist who disabled the bulbchecking on the rear lights via Autologic software.

Now bought some Style 128 Genuine wheels (Brand New). X3 fitment, so got some 12mm front spacers and 25mm Eibach bolt on spacers to get a nice stance.

Tyres going on this Wednesday coming.

Love the new car mate, 330d's are great cars. Have to say every 313 reps ive seen look pretty crap. OEM 313's are great.

I actually prefer your standard 225m's. BMW tend to get it right with wheels first time round.

Springs feel like OEM just gets the car sitting nice.

The 313's are for sale. I actually prefer the colour of the grey on the wheels and the shape. Drop me a PM if interested before I slap a for sale ad tomorrow.

I must say I've had 5 sets of BBS CH, Bentley wheels and other OEM polished wheeld etc from the VW Audi scene and these 313 reps are good quality. If anything they will take more abuse than the E9X BBS 19's.

The diamond cut finish is flawless. It's the first set of reps I've ever had, and although I am an OEM man I bought these as a stop gap for the Style 128's.

Never heard a report of BM Autosport wheels failing.

Style 230's on the E90. Cheers.

I have another set of 225m's which I have for sale. All in need or refurb and both rear wheels needing welding. 2 front tyres with 7mm tread, rears rubber is finished.

Sorry mate, I'm not sure where your coming from. I've not questioned the materials or quality of the wheel. Just they always look odd and can tell a mile off they are reps. (313's)

All you have said is that the reps are crap. I'm telling you I've had more sets of OEM wheels than I can remember, and these in comparison to OEM are not crap. Simple. Each to their own...

Clearly you have the "rep" stigma I used to have, thinking they were all shit etc for various reasons. Personally I am changing back to OEM wheels as its the wheel I want.

I have no stigma at all with replica wheels. Have even thought of buying a decent set of CSL reps myself. But the decent ones that look identical. Some do not have the correct rear concavity.

All 313 reps I have seen do not look as good as the OEM rim.

Yes found them on eBay. Ideally wanting the 5 series fitment as the rears are 9.5 ET32 so much better concave. Will see if I can pick some up.
