I have installed an OAD not the OAP and I still have vibration in the steering wheel but only in the cabin. I cannot hear, are or feel anything under the hood. I have no explanation.

For 189 I am positive you bought a oee and not a oem pulley. The oem pulley is made by cogetco which sells for around 350-400. But either way, a quality oee is all you need and will do you fine for a good 50k miles.

I replaced my Fluidampr with a Corteco two days ago after using Fluidampr for two years. I actually tried two different fluidamprs. No vibration after installing the Corteco.

Why did you remove the Fluidamper? Did you leave the clutched pulley on the alternator or reverted back to stock setup there too?
I had never heard of someone running FD and then reverted back to OE part . I believe the Cortego to be the original issue from factory. thanks

Why don't you guys just get the FAI damper. It's cheaper than the fluidampr and you don't have to worry about stretch bolts.

I have the fluidampr and I do not have vibrations or any issues. I bough it and was installed by from TuneMyEuro. They also replaced all the vacuum lines and a rubbed hose connected to the DPF.

I went with the fluidampr because it is readily available and is installed locally (in Atlanta area)

The FAI damper is identical to OE, some say of lesser quality even. If you really don't want stretch bolts they are easy to source as well.

I ordered the IDparts "generic" damper when it was $250 and it came in a Corteco (OE damper manufacturer) box.

Corteco is a good one to go back with but be ready to replace it again after another 80-100,000 miles. I believe Corteco is the OE as the BMW markings are ground off of it.

This is no longer the case always. Sometimes you order Corteco and get a generic Vaico type damper. Seems like there is a higher propensity to move towards generics. I think Febi may still be a good option.
