Oem retrofit heated seats E90 LCI
Hey BMW community,
Recently i bought sport seat for my car and they have heated seats so i went to the bmw dealer to order only the retrofit cables to get power on the seats. I used a retrofit instruction manual from here to connect the cables but the fusebox is slightly diffrent from the pre-lci (that's why i put LCI in the tittle). Do someone know what fuse location to use in order to get it OEM. I read alot of diy but i'm not so happy about the way they connected the power cables. Here's a pic of my fuse box. Currently the power cable is in the red rectangles (left driver, right passenger). The one on the left use a shunt in stead of a fuse, do i need to put a shunt in that slot? Whats the use of a shunt in that place? But the fuses used for heated seats are 3, 10, 45, 46, 68, what is the right fuse slot for the power cable? I hope someone can help me so i can complete this retrofit. Grtz Jerre |

I was wondering if you have the connector and pin details for those fuses 3, 10, 45, 46, 68. I'm doing exactly the same on my 325D (2008 but pre LCI) it has exactly the same fuse numbers as that for the heated and powered seats, so I guess it has the same fuse/junction box as the LCI's.
I've searched for wiring diagrams but they're all too old and use different fuse locations for the seats. I've also read the excellent seat retrofit DIY on here, many, many times all I'm missing is up to date wiring schematics. |

Well to answer my own question, in case anybody else needs to know.
Passenger F3 -> X11001 pin3 goes to X279 pin9 F10 -> X11001 pin10 goes to X279 pin5 F45 -> X11006 pin2 goes to X279 pin4 You'll also need the wire from X14270 pin38 to X279 pin1 for the PWM signal. Driver (uses module so less wires) F46 -> X11006 pin1 goes to X275 pin4 F68 -> X11008 pin4 goes to X275 pin9 for lumbar and side bolster power F20 -> X11002 pin10 goes to X275 pin7 and X279 pin7 NB this is for E90 after 2007_09 |

Also curious to know what specifically you got from the dealer and how much (just the wiring kit, or the heated seats buttons to turn them on as well).
I'm looking for manual heated sport seats, and don't have heated seats now, so trying to figure out the wiring as well as the controls to turn them on and off.

Digging up an old thread, but would be great to know the part number of the retrofit cables to get power to the seats. As I only have the standard non heated (and non powered) seats right now.. |
