There are a lot of threads on modifying the base stereo but why
would you think you would get an answer in the bluetooth section. https://www.e90post.com/forums/searc...rchid=62760866 For streaming blue tooth there is this cheap box if your car accepts cdc. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...4#post23244354 Or if you want to go factory you will need a combox retrofit and must have idrive.(the newer idrive) Last edited by ctuna; 09-12-2019 at 12:59 AM.. |

Bluetooth module
I have my BMW e90 2010 with a module in the trunk that has bluetooth icon on it. The iDrive allows me to connect via bluetooth to use my phone, however, I'm looking for a way to stream music with it. I'm thinking maybe there is any software update that could solve it? https://ibb.co/NWY5Cqc

Hi, first post on here so any help is greatly appreciated, i have an 09 325d e92, i have the steering wheel controls for car play etc however my stock stereo doesn’t have bluetooth and there is no usb under the armrest. I’m wondering if i can swap out the stereo for another BMW Professional oem one (one with bluetooth)?
Also if i can do this, what will i be able to use the steering wheel controls for? my main aim is to be able to change song using the ‘up/down’ buttons (the ones that would usually change the radio station), and to be able to answer calls, i pray this is possible. Thanks for any help/advice regarding best next steps. |

Can someone maby help me with this question / problem. I have an xtron android unit and the microphone is a joke. So I tried to convert the original bmw microphone 84316938762 to a 3.5mm to connect on the back of the stereo using parts of this guide.
it should work right? The mic just need ground and 12v? Or is it more advanced then a regular 3.5mm microphone? However when I try a voice recorder program it doesn't even hear my voice. If i hit the mic with the finger i can slightly hear it in the record file later. I have ordered xtrons mic002 and also kufatec 3.5mm that's fit in the roof but it's to far away. People always complains about poor quality. For now I have done a slightly hole and set up a microphone just over my head to the left. I'm out of options.. Really thought the original mic would be the best solution.. A shame when the Bluetooth on my unit works great. Just the microphone that's crap. Have removed the xtrons display mic. It was a size of a head of a needle. I'm looking for a svan neck microphone for now Last edited by Kudoz84; 06-29-2020 at 04:53 AM.. |

Hey guys, so I have a 2010 e90 330d with factory cic 606 Idrive,6fl,620 and 677 pro hifi. I’ve coded the mulf2 hi svs for Bluetooth and all is working fine apart from the mic 😒.. I’ve read endless post and understand in my situation it’s normal procedure to repin the mic connection in the drivers footwell with the car being right hand drive of course (spend a day trying find it behind the glovebox lol) my problem is that the connector only has 3 wires in it and seem to be in the right place.. . . . So I’m super confused as to why my mic isn’t working any input would be gratefully received. I’ve taken a pic of the mulf2 and of the connection box for the mic. Thanks in advance jb

I installed a EONON aftermarket HU and: 1) Cut off the EONON supplied mic from the supplied EONON wiring 2) Spliced the remaining wire (with the 3.5mm connector at the other end) into the existing BMW mic wiring at my TCM. I did not cut the TCM mic inputs (as I wanted to preserve the option to go back). Just 2 wires -- signal and ground. 3) Ran this wire from my TCM back to the mic input of my HU This seems to work fine. It avoided installing a new microphone. |

I have a 2007 E91 that I'm looking to upgrade to be Bluetooth capable for calling. I've come across a wrecked 2006 X5 that was equipped for Bluetooth calling - does anyone know if the MULF unit from that car will be compatible with mine?

In 2007 they generally had both a TCU and a Mulf which means two connectors
you should check for that. You want to get a Mulf 2 Hi as it will give you USB and it's actually the only thing you need plugged in as it supports the phone all by itself but not SOS which is useless now as it's unsupported . Look at part No's on the box they use the same parts in Most Cars where they can. Same Motor same Stereo etc etc.. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1181654 There are many Mulf retrofit thread. It will more than likely need programming. |

I have been running a tune2air WMA3000 for a couple years (2011 non iDrive). About 50% of the times I use it, after a few minutes the radio screen goes black, and audio stops for ~5 seconds, everything comes back on. This cycle repeats every ~10 seconds. Sometimes completely unplugging the tune2air and plugging it back in resolves the issue for a bit, but it often comes back eventually. Sometimes I can go for a several hour drive without it happening.
It ONLY happens when the tune2air is attached and actively playing. I thought maybe it was putting too much load on the built-in USB port, so I tried to wire it up to get power only from an external source by making a USB cable that splits power and data. The data side goes into the aux USB port, and the power side goes to cig lighter adapter. This significantly decreased how often it happens, but it still happens. Not sure if I got a bad tune2air unit or if there's something else at play. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. |
