getting email and text messages

With blackberry bluetooth connected (8700), is it possible to read emails and text messages on the i-drive screen?

I suppose it would be a nice feature to replicate a laptop interface with the iDrive, but the last thing I want to do while driving is e-mail so I don't miss it. OTOH, the phone works well with my BB, the phone book is completely synched, and I have become a huge believer in Bluetooth. It's much, much safer and easier than using a normal cell phone in the car. My next car will definitely have it, too.

It would be cool though if you could be notified who sent you the message.

Yes, I guess so. I'm just happy that the phone calls come up with the name from the address book, and it's fully integrated. My first experience with Bluetooth, and it has been a good one.
