Fact is there's too much camo still on it to tell. My bet is that once the camo comes off, the car will look more agressive and have more detail to it than the current model. The 3-series is BMW's bread and butter model. They won't and can't afford to screw it up.......
Agreed. Well said.

Does anyone have anymore news on this.

As I have said I am hoping for a coupe look.
The specs for the new A4 are out now and its kit list WAY exceeds the E90
BMW are going to have to add iDrive as standard at least.

So this will be my first appearance in this forum, after being registered for quite a while now...

I've been busy saving money to buy my E91 , and looks like i'm going to be able to save some more... because now i think it's better to wait and see what comes out with this LCI version.

The thing is, i'm tired of waiting , first info was that it was due to come out on this year's Frankfurt Auto Show, then another info showed up and after all it would only be unveiled at Geneva '08.

This past week i got to know (read it in a magazine) that launch is now expected for autumn '08. This is like almost at the end of the year!!! Can anyone confirm this?

I'm not expecting any significant changes, but some minor details that can actually make a difference (and maybe some more standard equipment). If it's going to be something like what was done to the 1 and 5-Series, then i guess it 'll be worth the wait... although it's painfull for me to think that that probably means 2009...

Hmmm... yes, but that wasn't the case with the recent LCI 's of the 1 and 5-Series...

I sure hope they don't change the M-Pack for the E90/E91 because i just love it the way it is

I have the same problem as you.....BUT ! I definitely think that waiting for the facelift is by far the best solution; i also think that the 3 series' facelift will be the most prominent among all bmw series....

Welcome to the club dude..
Same here.. i´ve been saving money since the end of '06. I thought i could buy one in the end of '07 (now) but i also decided to wait for the end of '08. Otherwise i am going to do the same mistake i did in 2004.. buying a car which will be updated soon.

I calculate with the end of model year 08, that would mean automn '08. I think in summer '08 there will appear a lot of pics of the new my '09. We´ll see..

Edit: Latest spy shots from the topic, which was posted on 11-30-2007:

FL could looks like that

I was searching over google for some infos on upcoming 320i/d with Xdrive in 2008. In october 2006, Autobild.de wrote an article on the 3 series future. They show as well a new concept based on the 3 serie.

By the way, i m still looking for the info, that BMW will release next year x-drive on 2.0 liter's engine petrol & diesel. Has anyone a link? thx

Anyone have more info on the 2009 3 series?

Strange that they don't hint anything if it's just 6 months away...guess they don't want to kill 2008 sales...bummer...I want to see what it will look like!

Spy photos look promising....

I am thinking E90 M3 or 2009 335xi. I live in Manhattan so the M3 might just be a waste

What is up with the dual exhaust? I know they're popular, and it seems like every new car these days have them. Technically speaking, they do serve a purpose, increasing horsepower and all, but I just think they look silly as hell. Am I the only one that dislikes dual exhaust?

All BMWs with six cylinders (or more) have dual exhausts. Four cylinders get one, that's just the way it's allways been. One of the few ways to distinguish the four from the six, in addition to chrome or not chrome in the grille and around the windows. This without M-package.

Where do you get this from? The reflectors in the latest pics are covered up with tape and since the car is in Germany, they would would be clears anyway.
