either give it the e92 entire front like the e90 m3 or change the girl and longer tails like the coupe or better looking like the new 2008 e60 tails or the 1 series tails.

This is F-UGLY! I am extremely disappointed to see this piece of sh*t. Makes me wanna say if any 3, it will be an ///M3 and no less.

I trust in BMW.. it's early. The e90 m3 changed looks a lot over development..

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned, I would bet very heavily that the grill will be rounded, similar to the E92.

Look at this picture of a E90 M3 in testing: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...58&postcount=7

You'll notice the hood on both the 2009 E90 and the E90 M3 looks similar. I don't think BMW is going to just curve up the edges of the grill and leave the chrome mustache, it definitely looks like they are going to make the grill similar to the E92. That hood just has some masking which hides the real profile and makes it seem more similar to the current E90.

That will definitely improve the looks of the E90 IMHO.

Nice breaking news Jason - as always! It's hard to look at a camo'd car and decide if you like it or not... especially a minor change. I'll withold opinion until I see more. I do like the subtle grill change, but not sure about some of the other elements.

Fact is there's too much camo still on it to tell. My bet is that once the camo comes off, the car will look more agressive and have more detail to it than the current model. The 3-series is BMW's bread and butter model. They won't and can't afford to screw it up.......

Funny how most of the negative comments came from owners of the current E90 sedan. I can't blame you though for feeling that way...one or two years into ownership and BMW releases a facelift. Ouch.

Cheers!

Everything still at acceptable level, except the rear... Looks really Japanish or rather cheap looking... Maybe reserve it for people like here to do modification, or else, nothing much left to have fun with, isn't it? HaHa...

I too am hoping the split-grille is a thing of the past when the facelift comes about in 2008 - it's the only major quibble I have with the current design. Hopefully some newer technological changes will be announced too, such as DSG gearboxes etc

Why is it always such a supprise too? ALL manufactures do this to ALL of their cars when they are about 1/2 way through their product cycle, some do it earlier, some do it more often, but its to bring new interest, or floor traffic, in on an age'ing model. The guys that buy the face lifted cars will have to look at the all new 3 series that replaces the e90...

I use to drive Honda's/Acura's, they are the worst on figuring it out. They think they are car "enthusiasts" and the go buy the last year of the old body style, when the new one will be on the lot in October, and they'll be pissed about it too. Honda probably has a more predictable timeline, but all car makers do it...

I think it looks ok, but I'll wait for some official photo's. I might just have to keep driving the ZHP and wait for a CPO'd e90 M3. And of course, by the time that happens, there will probably be an all new 3 out, or coming out and an all new M3 right behind it, and the world goes round...

EDIT: Plus, keep in mind that this might be for some other part of the world, its not necessarily a US 335i...

the chrome bar and the actual tail lights are the main reason why i am waiting for the 2009 sedan. I hope they will move a step forward to combine features of the current E92 with the 2009 sedan. Unfortunatly i have to buy a sedan.. otherwise the E92 would be my first choice in case of look..

The best out of both is definitely the new M3 E90 sedan.. but thats a car i cant afford..

How the **** are people coming up with these opinions? Are they seeing something I'm not... the visible light cluster at the rear is the same as pre-facelift E90s, the part that may have been changed is still in camouflage...
