Because no one hasheard of this company until just recently. His claim is he has been doing this longer than the popular single turbo companies like doc race and ACF. On top of that 500 units?

This is Shawn who will not let you see where the turbos are assembled and is using fake vsr balance sheets. I tried to visit the shop locally. Was told there is nothing to see.

So he has been lying for 5 years sending out fake vsr sheets?

There are so many red flags this is just yet another.

Find me a credible person who has been running their turbos for 5 years.

this is strange, there have been forum members who are local to shawn who have already gone to see the shop. who did you contact that told you there was nothing to see?

Shawn.

The only shop you can visit is a a random garage that does installs. You can not visit a shop that does assembly, balancing, machining, or any other aspect of the turbo assembly process etc.

I can visit Michigan when ever I want want for work. If there was a shop or place and could visit and take pics I would. There is not.

So no comment on the fact that all of the vsr balance sheets are fake as fuc?

Aren't these aftermarket castings too? Have those even been around for 5 years? Frankenturbo started using the 'Chinafolds' and that was only 2 years ago.

yea actually my comment would be why would you expect shawn to have a shop he can send ppl to for a visit with his own balancer when you already know the stage 2 balancing and assembly happens in the UK, assemblies are sent here and the tdo4 machine work for the stage 3 and 4 sets are done in the US contracted out to Turbo Supply Inc in michigan who certainly has all the equipment required. I have absolutely no reason to believe my balance sheets are fake you are just jumping to conclusions that conveniently suit your position. all this info was in the last thread too which is now gone so we get to go through all this again. yay

Every balance sheet so far posted has been a fake unless I missed something. Down to the serial numbers matching etc.

You did get two VSR balance sheets right? One for each turbo. Let's see what yours look like.

you are seeing mismatching serial numbers on the turbo serial tags vs balance sheets? i havent seen that but i guess i havent really looked for it. is that why you are saying they are fake or is there other proof? i purchased my turbos before shawn even started sending them out with the dog tags with the serial numbers on them. i did get two balance sheets, one for each turbo

Turbo Technics said they were not balanced by them but on a machine they sold. They said they could be fake, or on old equipment, or done in China, nothing definitive, I know cuz I was the one who reached out to them and posted their email response in the last thread

Why people still try to defend/support these kind of companies is mind blowing!

We need to support the companies who want to develop and push the platform, not kill the market.

This all the way!!!

It seems that as our cars hit the $4k-$10k range a lot of less attentive to detail and ignorant consumers buy them.

The serial numbers matched the ebay/alibaba turbo serial numbers right? Weren't they identical to your balance sheets?

They also said the machine was very old and it was strange the company did not edit in their correct name as that is what the software prompts immediately when they start it up if it has not been modified?

If I was balancing turbos for a living making sure the serial number matched the turbo assembly I was balancing and my companies name was on every VSR balance sheet I send out seems like business 101. I mean they are literally paying you to do that single job.

Or am I miss remembering?

By now, I would have expected to see turbos that cost less and perform as much as the OE. But no, that is still not the case.

Right now just buying back OE turbos is best solution for me when they go, would just be nice to have something cost less but I guess no one can beat Mitsubishi?

What about RB OEM Billets? Are they not cheaper then Mitsubishi turbos from FCP?

This is not a sarcastic question, serious: Are the RB turbos as reliable and long lasting as OEM turbos? Do they include a lifetime warranty replacement?

See this is my other gripe with all these 3rd party turbo guys, I read shit and bad reviews on ALL of them, well all except Pure actually. That is why I am so afraid/sketched to get one of theirs when FCP would just cover lifetime. Although the turbo prices on FCP are a bit higher than other websites probably due to their lifetime warranty.

They seem to list for 1 149$ while OE Mitshu are about 750$.

Unless the RB price is for 2 turbos?
