...or not. went up to the shop today and test fit the bumper. Unlike I previously said, the passenger side duct does NOT line up with the bumper without modification. I told them to keep it and do the trimming/molding. Should have it back by Friday with both ducts installed.

Haha. Yeah, it seems like it'll just go on perfectly, but then doesn't. I'm psyched to see the final results.

Me too. This has been a multiple week process. 3 weeks to ship bumper because the carrier screwed up the shipment and lost my bumper before finding it in Ohio. The Car has been in the shop for 12 days as of tomorrow and I'm not a fan of the VW Passat rental I'm in. At least i got my MTech rear replaced under insurance at the same time.

Just got a call from the shop again. Seems they're flummoxed as to how to join up the two ends of the oil cooler duct without doing some serious (and expensive) custom fab work. Since this shop specializes in exotics I'm sure they can do it, but I'm equally sure i dont want to pay for it.

I just said make the passenger side as functional as possible and the driver's side purely cosmetic. Its time to cry uncle when a project like this stops being fun and becomes a distraction. I'll be curious to see what they come up with

Sorry to hear that man! I hope the final look is more than what you expect. Still want pics though! haha

On my end, I got the passenger side all sanded up and as soon as my fusor plastic is delivered I'm gonna put a coat or two on and then sand it flat. Hopefully I will have mine ready to go in the next week or two. I also have a black HPF intercooler on its way

Nice! I've got my eye on the VRSF 7" intercooler. Looking at silver because it would look great through the big center grille in the m3 rep. Really excited to see how the M3 rep front looks with my Mtech/performance diffusor back.

Taking the DSLR and a few lenses with me to pick up at lunch. If i dont have to run back to the office I'll grab a few good shots. Thankfully there's a big storm washing away all the weeks of pollen that have accumulated here, so my car will be blue and not yellow

you have pics of yours yet? I just finished mine today and just need to figure out how I want to make the molds to make copies then paint em and put em in. As soon as I get them painted I'll take some pics and then take final pics and post once they're in.

How hard is it to get the bumper off and on? I have the M3 rep with the fogs and am really wishing I would have gone this route now and deleted the fogs when I had mine put on 6 months ago.

It's not difficult to take the bumper off, but it does take a little time and getting fown on the ground. Mostly just a hassle, but not difficult at all.

This eBay seller (OEMDIRECT) has it, but I think you have to get a new bumper. Look them up and ask if you can buy only the ducts.
