CCC to CiC general questions

It's been a while since I've used this forum but buying another BMW is a quick way to remind anyone how much they need e90post haha. I have purchased a 2007 335i with a January build date and it has the rather lacklustre CCC idrive system + nav.

I have been looking into upgrading to CiC but have a few questions:

1) outside of the screen, the lower unit (not sure what its called), the idrive controller, and the center trim to house the new controller, are there any other OEM parts that I need? I understand there are some harnesses involved but those are aftermarket, I want to make sure I have all the necessary OEM parts first.

2) I have a premium audio package on this car that I do not want to lose by doing the upgrade. Would this affect the audio in any way?

3) How difficult is this install, from anyone who's done this before were there any major tips you have or obstacles that you ran into?

Thanks,
Greg

1)You need to re-pin the display power connector with the CIC one.

2) No affects to audio at all

3). If you can do wiring it is not hard at all. Coding is straight forward.

Thanks Nick,

I bought this emulator to avoid my own re-pinning to the CiC unit:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2016...27424c4dfSxc8p

And luckily I have the CiC connectors still on the display, so I'll likely reuse those and just pin the old wires from the CCC to the CIC connector.

That should do it I assume?

Pretty much, when you depin it just make sure you be careful as the pins can get stuck.

Hi again folks . I've just fitted a cic controller with my ccc and all it does is light up. My car is a June 2007 325i e93. The part number of the control is 65829267955 and it has the MEDIA button on rather then the CD button. Hope someone can help me please?

Go into your Capple module and change the ZBE from low to high / high to low.
