Keeping 335I out of warranty
Hey, I am looking to purchase a 2007 CPO 335I coupe within the next month. I am probably going to keep it past the CPO warranty expiration date so I was wondering, is it a good idea to keep a 2007 335I past the warranty expiration? What kind of pricey repairs can I expect to face?

I don't know. I see a lot of problems with 335 on this board, not sure if it is all HPFP related. The turbos would be a big ticket item after the warranty expires. Maybe you should consider getting an extended warranty for peace of mind. As for the HPFP which is covered, what happens when it fails and knocks out another part because of its failure? Also, I read a thread on here that BMW was trying to blame something else instead of the HPFP, but then finally fixed the HPFP. If it was out of the original warranty that person would have received a huge bill even though the HPFP was covered.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
