I agree with you regarding the fact that Lippi was preparing for penalty kicks, nonetheless he still wanted that goal. He could of put in Oddo who takes all the penalty kicks for Lazio instead Gillardino who never takes penalty kicks for Ac Milan.

The Italians played to win.

Ok, so you mean striker as a forward. Iaquinta is a striker, so are Gilardino, Inzaghi, Luca Toni.

I consider Del Piero and Totti as forwards or offensive midfieders.

Yup, i consider Italy played to win, much more than Germany, and so they deserved to win.

Just hope Portugal will win today to!!!!!!!

Hhaah are you kidding?? These guys are the "brad pitts" of their country.

Im all the way over here in USA, and i'd still hit 3/4 of italy's team.

France could be a problem for Italy - so my bet is on Portogallo as well...life is good - Italy wins on the cup on the ninth and on the 11th I am in Milan to watch the Rolling Stones open their European tour....forza Italia, dai....

I agree

Italy seems to be unlucky against France. In 1998 they had a good game against France but still lost. In 2000 at Euro they dominated the whole game and still manage to lose.

Don`t get me wrong Italy will beat France just that Portugal will be easier. Plus, I don't think my heart will be able to take another game like yesterday, I'll get a heart attack.

edit: being that this is in germany, I really felt for the german fan.
you know what, I happen to watch the last part of the game (in the penalty time period). That was awesome how they just go back and forth and all of a sudden with roughly 2 minutes left, 2 goals. wow! Sorry to bring back the heart attack mode. I just want to see a good clean game.

1 thing i want 2 add, i wanted portugal 2 win cuz i remembered euro 2000 senario:

france kicks out spain, then portugal, n wins over italy in the final, unfairly, cuz italy was the better team

Not sure whom to support in the final, Italy to my mind has a better team, but there is a cloud of scandal over the Olympic team as a result of the allegations (rather strongly supported by audiotape evidence) of rigging, and players ont eh Italian team are implicated.

The first half until the pk was very exiting, open game on both sides.

Agreed that the second half was more about France shutting down completely Portugal, but who can blame France ?

Hey BMW 320i I wouldn't worry about France. If they play the way they did today I don't think they are going to beat the Italians. I'm sure you've noticed (we seem to think alike) the French players seemed a little bit tired. Zidane sweats a lot I don't remember him sweating so much when he use to play with Juve.
