Would love to see a video review so we can see how the sat nav works in the UK. Ever since the iOS 10 update my iPhones don't work well with CCC iDrive. So thinking this head unit could help with that.

Looks great. Was the installation as straightforward as it looks? I will be in the States next week, I might see if I can get one shipped to my US address.

Sorry I meant routing all the wires is the most time consuming. Everything is plug and play.
I've managed to fit everything including reverse camera. So far its great! |

Overall you must be pleased with it compared to CCC? Looks a lot fresher. |

Yes I managed to put the USB in glove box. The system has 2 USB ports which is useful. I've even tried to use my 1TB portable hard drive without issues. So far i think it's great! It feels much fresher now Compared to the CCC, this is miles better. The screen feels HD instead of an old CRT like display. I picked this over the CIC because of the price and the added functionality of being able to play music and videos via USB, android apps and Google Maps. I've attached a picture of the "Dashboard" Menu which has potential but it only shows speed in kph and the gauges don't move. Hope this answers some questions people might have Last edited by Bmwguy82; 01-13-2018 at 09:22 PM.. |

Possibly a stupid question, but other than the dashboard fitment, does this require an existing CCC/CIC unit, or does the one being discussed operate in a standalone fashion?

So I just did my ccc to cic. I also just priced out this version with all options. Comes to about 750$. I paid about 750$ for my cic retrofit. Do all features work after? Such as control messeges? Does it use your phone's internet for maps?

Sorry I never looked into this as I have a Samsung phone. I believe you need an additional Apple CarPlay adapter which they sell. |
