Additional trunk interior light
Hi,
I noticed that when I pull up the floor mat in the luggage compartment to access the area below it, the light is blocked by the mat itself and I can't see the floor compartment in the dark. I want to add another light in the trunk, using power from the existing light. The question is is this going to create electrical problem? Is the existing wiring able to handle two lights instead one? I'm also worried about possible check control warnings. What do you think guys? |

I imagine LEDs would help solve the problem of drawing too much current.
For all the over-engineering Germans are known for, actually surprised they didn't think of this during vehicle design.

if you replaced the factory trunk light with LED unit, you can add LED strips in that location. Just be careful when you splice into the (+) wire. If you ground it out, you will blow a fuse.
