BMW Newbie - Just bought a 335d

Been doing diesel for best part of a decade with a Jeep CRD, but finally made the plunge into a 2011 BMW 335d - what a great ride! Got a White one with Black interior, Premium and Climate Packages, but wished I had found one with the M-Sport Package. Oh well, the price was good when the availability was limited. Happy to be driving a 335d! I told my wife she would be giving the guys more than diesel envy when she was driving this one

Reading through some of the posts, it looks like there are some good information. I look forward to reading more and contributing as I learn more about the 335d.

I got bought myself one on Saturday as well...Bought it in the southwest and I live in the northwest so I won't actually bring it home for a few weeks.

2011 335D, premium and convenience. Fairly simple ride with a nice tint and going to have the clear bra installed (PNW is awful for rock chips)

$51k MSRP, 41k final price (including tint and "permaplate" which I could care less about but it was already on car....didn't end up paying for it so wasn't end of world)

Already thinking about installing iPhone cradle and Alpine stereo upgrade (would do it myself...seems easy enough since parts are <$500)

Welcome to D club. You will love the car. Lived in Indiana for a while and went to college in Terre Haute. I don't miss the snow. Go Hoosiers!

IndiaBahn, welcome to Club D! Do you still have the Libby? I had one for several years, went through two torque converters and ended up getting rid of it just as my extended warranty ran out. Great idea, but should have had a 6MT compared to the crappy plastic-statored RFE-545 they used. I was going to get a Suncoast biller TC and tune, but in the end, chose to get rid of it and went with the 335d instead.

Enjoy your ride!

Cheers
D.

Hi DNA Diesel!

Thanks for the welcome... Still got the Libby CRD now with 110K - rather than deal with the Chryler's excuses, at about 20K miles (before things went bad) I went ahead and got the Suncoast TC (before the F37 neutering) and got the local dealer to install it for free without the detuning. The little diesel is doing great.

OK, now you've got me curious. What dealer in the SW gave you such a great deal on your 335D?
