WTB: Enginer Support Brace for Oil Pan Gasket Job

Hi all,

Looking to BORROW an Engine Support Brace for my upcoming Oil Pan Gasket Job.

Any fellow enthusiasts/good samaritans out there have one they could lend me for a weekend? Willing to throw in money for a quality 6-pack, if needed.

Located in Bristol, CT. Hoping to do the job on the weekend of Saturday 6/2, so let me know if you can help a guy out

Thanks!

I've used this a few times now on my E30 and a couple of E36s. It works really well and is actually pretty good build quality.

Back in my mustang days I screwed Two 2x4’s together cut them to length to fit on the inner fender (laying on their side) and used a couple of decent size ratchet straps. Worked beautifully to hold up that heavy ass cast iron 5 liter engine while I swapped out the k member. Of course do this at your own risk if you decide to use this method.

Google for wood used to support engine or something like that to get an idea.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I know about the harbor freight brace, but I think I'd still rather borrow one. Over the years, I've purchased a bunch of cheap tools that I've only used one time for jobs, and I'd like to avoid continuing to do that if I could just borrow someone else's. If I can't, then so be it. But I thought I'd ask first.
