Dynavin E9X D99 Android Question

I was curious, I have Logic7 in my car. No iDrive.

Is there anyway around this issue that I am reading, where if you have Logic7 then you can't install the Dynavin in the car? I really want to get this specific head unit installed because it is very clean and looks the closest to being OEM.

Thanks!!

Search for the Dynavin threads.

The problem with the logic 7 ,other than the other problems
encountered with any aftermarket head in a BMW , are the L7 amplifier becomes useless as its has a proprietary FiberOptic Interface. So you need something to power your speakers you could use the dynavin to do that but the original L7 amp has 9 channels and the dynavin has 4 and they have less power . If you really want to do this you might want to add
compatible amps, harness and upgrade the speakers to.

Read the Sticky Audio Upgrade start here at the top of the subforum page for
more info on all aspects of the L7 and upgrades for it. There is a section on
aftermarket heads in that also .

Also search for the two big dynavin threads

Hey I been doing a lot of research on getting this completed and was curious... for my situation with replacing the Logic 7 amp to install the Dynavin D99 and SWS Earthquakes would a JBL XD600/6 be another good option to complete the install over the MS-8??

My only concern is will the MS-8 be able to power enough to the 8" SWS subs, speakers, Dynavin, etc.?

Thanks

I did this in my car.

You can do it, you need to relocate head unit to the trunk or wherever. You will need a 6ch amp and another amp to run your underseats.

Well can I run something like this with the JBL 6 channel amp?

Channels 1 & 2- front speakers
Channels 3 & 4- rear door and rear deck speakers wired in series or leave the rear deck speakers disconnected.
Channels 5 & 6- underseat subs

With the Logic 7 speakers I will need another amp to run for additional speakers??

Because of the number of channels and speakers

Because of the number of channels and speakers with L7

a lot of people get the ms-8 then a 4 channel or 6 channel amp to run the
fronts letting the ms-8 do the rear channels and center front dash speaker.

Just doing the 6 channel amp won't sound bad if you recode to Hi Fi and
put some good speakers in the front doors and floors.

Look at the Audio upgrade start here sticky under L7 and Hi Fi sample systems.

ms-8 does not have a lot of power to run 8 inch speakers if
you want to turn it up much.

its a JL audio amp not jbl .

I am running a jbl 6 ch amp to power

1ch & 2ch = front speakers
3ch & 4ch = mid rears(doors)
5ch & 6 ch = rear deck

Then I have a smaller 2 ch amp that is dedicated to the underseat mid bass subs that I had booked up to the sub output of my dynavin

I wanted all my speakers still working, And decided to run different amps for the underseats and other car speakers because of the difference in resistance between the speakers.

I used technics harness and cut it up and wired from my amps to the harness, so I can just plug it into the speaker wire harness where it would normally plug in at the logic7 amp.

When you purchase the Dynavin, it comes with a relocation piece that puts the buttons on the backside of the ashtray. So you won't lose your heated seat buttons.

You can also get the newer climate control panel which has the heated seat buttons built in. This is the cleanest way of doing it.

That is exactly what I did. Heated seats are connected with the 2011 climate controller.

Reminds me more of young rice rocket cars throwing a HU in there just cause.

My bro has the Dynavin and has been nothing but awesome.

spmd11 purchased an android unit not fully knowing what he was getting into, He wasnt a customer of mine (we try to make it clear that android units are not for everyone), but I tried to help him out anyway.....ultimately though, he bought a unit that didnt fit his needs. He has since found something that is closer to what he was looking for.
