No, no updates from Swift.

For those still interested, I called Swift this morning and I was told they are about two months away from releasing their springs. However they will only be releasing their Spec-R series for the E90, E92 and M3. Price around $300.

We cant get them here in the UK.

The best info I have from a huge amount of reading (plus I bought a pair), is that Swift coilovers are a little lighter than other top-quality race aka coilover springs, such as Hyperco and Eibach.

But these are sport springs, not standard-size coilover springs for racing. Usually, "sport" replacement springs are not made out of quite the same quality of steel as the coilovers, but close, and they might not be coiled to get the same excellent linearity the coilover Swifts have. My guess is the Swift sport springs are still a little better than the Eibachs we're all familiar with.

People rave about Swift springs being "softer than they are rated", but one explanation for this is that Swift springs actually perform much closer to their rating than other springs, and what happens is people are replacing a nonlinear spring with Swift, and the original was nonlinear by design or because it was improperly used in the car. In other words, people don't understand that a 400#/inch Megan does not give 400#/inch for every inch. The Swift race spring does, for a much larger range.

There's also the spring rate Swift decides to use; it'll be interesting to see what they come up with.

Just an update. Swift is in the final stages of fitting prototype 1M and M3 springs to cars here in the US. 135i and 335i sport springs should follow shortly.

Bought Swift Coils springs for my CKS coilovers from Harold and couldn't be happier. Car rides incredibly smoothly, but is rock solid. The car actually rides smoother and tighter not with 19s than it did with SZP and 162s. I am amazed how a properly matched spring rate and a quality spring feels. I will never use another spring. I can only imagine they will be great when they do come out with these lowering/sport springs.

I would have to agree with everything said. The car has way more travel when hitting bumps, the whole car stays in control no matter how bumpy or uneven the surface is. I can rip the car through gears in places the rear used to hop around and it just sticks. The car absolutely grips the road now even around turns with bumps. It inspires tons of confidence.

One thing I noticed is how as you turn hard and harder and the springs compress more and more it is an incredibly linear compression. I would imagine this is due to the springs being linear and holding the specified spring rate throughout the stroke. I literally will not use any other springs.

As far as quality goes they are top notch. All were exactly the specs I ordered- length, paint finish etc.

They weight so much less than the OEM spring I removed, and the ones I took off the CKS coils.

Amazing Springs at a very resonable price for what they deliver.

People are forgetting teins, I just got them installed on BMW ps and they provide a perfect stance and a surprisingly comfortable ride. Prob because the rates are close to BMW pa springs but lower.

In the thread, the poster, went with Swift springs and was able to take the Tein's to the next level.

thats awesome, but i thought they were making just the lowering springs and not the coilover springs, if so i cant wait for the lowering springs. the teins are so comfy.

Yes, just the sport springs. However, their metric coilover springs will work on many coilovers, including KW and Tein.

seems like the m3 springs fit the 335i e92, a la b&g s2, tein s, eibach, etc so do you have the swift sport for sale for our e92s?

So Harold, what major differences would I expect between say 336F/672R versus 392F/784R on my car. Mostly a DD with say 5-10 track days a year.

Trying to determine which set-up is a better fit.

It really is a matter of personal preference and how 'aware' you are of your car's behavior. In my estimation you would feel a slight difference in the rear and very minimal change up front. And as to which would be a better set-up, 'better' is very subjective so you will need to make an educated decision. Hope that helps a little.
