how much did you pay for your HPF exhaust?

In Canada here, looking to pick up the HPF exhaust for E92 335i RWD.

Wanted to know where you guys got it from and how much you paid.

Thanks

The more important question would be how are you going to get one if they aren't producing them anymore.

That's correct. The company that took them over isn't currently producing all HPF components yet either. Most likely they are working on which products if any to bring back with the HPF name. Not sure how big of a priority the 335i is to them as their flagship car was the E46. Just speaking out loud of course.

After I read it again I realized I didn't mean to come off as snooty. It was a genuine concern but I can see why it's funny.

We sold a few HPF exhaust and it's funny because as soon as they went out of business everyone started asking if I had any left. Had I known they were going to go out of business I could have grabbed the last of their remaining stock when I knew they had a bunch left over.

To answer your question, yes. I'm confused though because the HPF is the farthest thing from drone free. On the scale of 1-10. 10 being loudest. The HPF is about an 8. With 10 being completely open straight pipes and/or open downpipes.

I'd stick with stock unless you really want more sound. If you do, my favorite with CDP's is AA's signature exhaust.

Can you suggest a good alternative to HPF. Based on YT videos (havent heard a 335i in person only 135i) I really like the sound but not sure what other brands would sound similiar.

Unfortunately for me none I sell. But I heard the turner motorsport exhaust is a similar concept.

If you want alot of crackle and pop when you let off the throttle and a real loud exhaust just get straight pipes!

I spoke with HPF yesterday (event though they are now really vivid racing) and they expect to have their exhaust setups for the 335's back in production 'within a month or so'. I've already given them my info to hold me one...here's hoping that pans out.

I have AA no cat downpipes with an AE Performance exhaust. No drone, except maybe a tad around 1700 rpms, but how often do you sit at 1700 rpms while you're driving? It's not too loud just driving around and it sounds really nice and aggressive when you start building boost or doing WOT pulls. All in all, I wouldn't change a thing about my AA downpipes + AE exhaust setup.

I have an HPF on my 07 e90 and it's truly unlike any exhaust for the 335i. the only exhausts I've found it comparable to sound wise are the exhaust systems for the 1m. PS, if you aren't okay with some drone then I suggest you find a new hobby.

Also in terms of similar exhaust systems I believe the AE system is the only other single to dual system for the n54 335i at least.

I think HPF is owned by vividracing now. I ordered HPF Gen 2 for my E92 from them today. They had some in stock. Give them a call and see if they have any left.

Good luck.

I'd have to strongly advise against straight pipes. Crazy loud and obnoxious and the drone will make you frigging crazy.

I have a PE and for what its worth....I absolutely love it. Minor rasp at certain high RPM but overall it is sexy and of course made by BMW for the car. If its your DD I'd recommend PE.

But I'm a noob so take that with a grain of salt.
