the original files for NCSEXPERT.rar have the three folders but no installer like bmw tools does. I tried to just copy them all to C:\ but i am getting errors. Does anyone have a current & complete package to share (INPA, EBIDAS, NCSEXPERT to work w the v42 e89 datens?)

I have a generic 232RL FTDI cable that I reprogrammed the eeprom as specified by other threads to make work with INPA/EDIABAS, it will not connect to modules though. My car was built late 2008 and requires D-CAN.... does this mean no way no how this cable will ever work... but will work on older E90s?

I am done with programing / coding for now as after programing my car wasn't starting

What a relive it wasn't the programing / coding even tho I have a pretty good feeling I had a programing error, but never the less it just needed a replacement battery PHEW

I have a feeling that this was a sign for me to not to program / code the car

Could have saved on the tow and initial diagnostic, but I am happy that it's all over with and I have my car back with a brand new battery

Total Damage: $100 Tow + $484.77 = $584.77

Hi guys, I've been using this spreadsheet as a reference for what options I can enable/disable on my 2009 328i - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...CPqY7sEC#gid=3.

I changed the DRL to only enable the angel eyes, but they're dim. If I turn my headlight switch to "parking lights only", the rings get much brighter. I would like to have them at that brightness all the time, otherwise during the daytime it looks very underwhelming. The spreadsheet does not dictate how to change the brightness. I've googled the heck out of it and found conflicting information. Some people say you need to change a couple of wert values, others insist this requires neodat coding.

Also, I already had the option set to aktiv to roll up the windows with my fob, but it doesn't work. Is there another value I need to change somewhere? I'm finding that a lot of these options have other prerequisites that need to be changed first. Whoever is updating this spreadsheet, could you list pre-req's as well? Like "If you want to enable this make sure x and x are set to x"

Noob here. I have been using BMWhat for some of the things mentioned here. What does having a complete setup like this give me over that? The spreadsheet only seems to list pretty much the same stuff that app has. Can you do things like code Combox for 6NR or other?

Ok...so I just have to ask a few questions before I attempt this. I recently purchased a 2012 328i CPO with nav and heads up in california. I was told that it had enhanced bluetooth but yet i have no audio streaming.

I took it to a different dealer (in washington) who says it is not even capable of streaming audio. This confuses me!!!

The dealer in cali says its a matter of changing or adding a code, but wa dealer says not possible.

Can you help me out and confirm which dealer is correct? I want to know if I can add the code myself to make it work. I also want the features of folding mirrors that will work with my comfort access. Please respond asap!

It depends on what radio unit you have installed, if your iDrive has been updated, and if the option is coded as a feature.

First get your radio type to see if it's possible.
Look at your iDrive version and compare to the most current version for your car at: http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/con...re_update.html

Finally, if that still doesn't solve your issue, it MAY be a feature the previous owner coded out. In that case, contact someone who does coding, like Apline. (Alpine Sales <alex@alpinemss.com>) For a small fee they will be able to not only check that feature but assist with any updates/codes you would like.
