So I bought a battery from BMW. Installed it and used the schwaben scanner to register it. It asked for supplier code, I put 412721. Then it asked for "polarity code" which is suppose to be stamped on the negative terminal, which it wasn't. Searching online it seemed like it was just a date for manufacturing so I put the number that was on the sticker by the positive terminal. 0717. Do you guys think I'm good? The schwaben scanner made it super easy but the battery I bought made it a bitch. You can also code a bigger battery or AGM battery with the scanner, FYI. Attached is picture of new battery.

Your fine. All the car really needs to know is whether it's AGM or not, and it's AH rating.

How does it know the ah? I didn't put that info in anywhere.

Oh ok true. I did enter that I replaced it with same battery. Thank you for clearing up my fear!!
