Maybe not, i think they just realised that the washers were a few motors they could dispose of. Also BMW haven't put foglights on any new M car's since 2004, namely the E60 M5, E46 M3 CSL, E63 M6, Z4M & finally E92 M3.

Yeah. I can count the numbers of times I've driven in heavy fog on one hand .. but every time it's been in a car without fog lights

Fair enough then... But I need my fog lights, cos every winter morning I leave home in the dark and heavy fog is around
