Squeaking from the rear

Hey I have an E92 with H&R Sport suspension. I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact the last few days have been the coldest of the year; but when I'm driving over uneven roads, the rear ends is constantly squeaking. Could this be weather related or does something need to be replaced?

Thanks

It's unlikely it's coming from the springs IMO. But since bolts had to be loosened to get the springs in....just get back there and make sure everything is torqued right....

I've been driving with these springs for over a year?

Well the springs don't wear out if that's what you're thinking? I guess it's possible for them to squeak but it wouldn't be a sign there's something wrong with them. They could have 500,000 miles on them and they're the same as new. It would say it's probably a bolt loose or not tightened correctly on the shocks. There's only top and bottom to check.....even though getting to the top isn't too fun...taking out or pulling out the liner.

Could it be that the shocks are finished?

How many km's do you have on them? I assume they're factory?

I have 84000K and yes they are factory. I've put about 25000K on them with the H&R sport springs.

Squeaking could be a number of things. Squeaking from a suspension is very tough to troubleshoot on a forum. It needs to be driven and heard by someone who has a lot of experience with this. Even loose bolts might not be a squeak I guess. Could be more of a clunk. I would at least try to take it somewhere good and have them drive it and hear it before anything else....

So that could definately be the problem...that's a lot of km's total and especially after riding on them with H&R Sport. Time to order up some Koni Yellows The new ones can be adjusted on top in the rear now...so you waited for a good time anyway

I love them. I bought mine used from someone on here (with 16K Km's on them). I paid $500 for the set. Not sure exactly what they cost new....probably $800 or so? Definately worth it and a perfect match for H&R Sport. I had FSD's with H&R Sport and it was a nice ride also....if anything too soft and non-adjustable. If you want to always have stock ride....then maybe you could consider those. But almost everyone on here will tell you not to pair those with H&R Sport...even though everyone that has had that setup will tell you they love it....

I'd do some research on here to be sure...

I'd say check your rear brake sensors.

I thought brake sensors usually only started in the front? I did have that problem that the dealer fixed.....so I guess it's possible. Like I said, I'd at least have it checked to make sure.

That price is for all four. You don't want to only replace the rear...do all at once...
