Dr. Color chip
Ok I know this has been talked about, but after a few years my X5 finally got its 1st rock chip. Well after reading this board and others I fianlly decided to give Dr. Color chip a try. I have used the paint pen in the past and never been very happy with the results, as you get a blob of paint that isn't even with your other paint and must sand and buff it to make it look right.
This product worked just as advetised without issue and I found it very easy to use. I beleive if I keep using it over a few times I could fill the rock chip totally. After one appilication the chip is the same color as the rest of the car and very hard to find. If you didn't know were it was you wouldn't find it. I have painted show cars in the past and I know the work and time you can spend fixing things like this. I was by far the easiest and best paint touch up I have ever used. I even ordered one to touch up our 335i. If you have a rock chip in your baby its more than worth the money IMO.. http://www.drcolorchip.com/index.shtml Hope this helps any of you that have been on the fence about using this product. |

I can also attest that it's a good product. Haven't used it on the E90 yet, but it's been well worth the money for me in the past. When used correctly, the same product/method is good for small scratches too.
