Can you install 6FL afterwards

I didnt want to wait 3 months to get my car delivered so I bought first MT sedan I could find in Socal. Unfortunately the one I bought had all the options except the ipod option. I have done a search and came up with nothing so far. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the 6FL from parts and install it yourself? TIA

Nope, i dunno what you have been searching but all threads about 6fl will tell you it is only a factory installed option. You do have the option of getting the MORE (i think thats what its called, someone correct me if im wrong) ipod solution in your car at the dealership.

No. There is no retrofit.

yea... i mean i'm sure in theory you could install the parts and have the software updated but youd have to find a dealership willing to work with you to do this.

In theory sure, but it would probably cost a fortune. I am assuming the head unit is the same hardware and each is "6FL ready"... if not, then forget it!
