What size wheels can I install on my car?
I just picked up a 2012 328i xdrive. Previous owner installed a set of craptastic wheels and tires. I'm looking for a nice wide stance without any rubbing.
Is it possible to install a set of 18s and wheel spacers? Thanks for any feedback!

This question is very hard to answer. Factory rims you can put 5mm on front and 20mm on the rear. You can buy nice 18" or 19" wheels, but your options become huge. Do you want a square setup (same size front to back) or staggered (larger wheels on the rear). I am running staggered 9" front and 10" rear, but I am also putting down a lot of power. Square is the better choice for most people.
Based on the width, you can then find out what offsets to use. Wheels normally come with the ability to choose a different offset to eliminate the need for spacers. The Wheels section is a much better place to look. Plenty of people posting pictures and what size/offset they are running. |
