Thumbs up Heads Up - Great Coupon Code for Advanced Auto Replacement Batteries

Just a heads up, as now that it's winter - seems this is the prime time that older batteries give up the ghost

Advanced Auto carries AutoCraft Gold & Silver High Quality batteries that are direct replacement for BMW battery specs of many styles/types (Regular & AGM) with 3yr warranty.

Enter Coupon Code:
  • 'TRT30' @ checkout for 30% off order - $50 max savings
    -OR-
  • 'TRT41' @ checkout to receive $40 off $100 purchase

As an example, I just got a AutoCraft Gold AGM Battery, Group Size H8, 850 CCA
Part No: H8-AGM to replace my BMW AGM battery in my 09' 328iX for $141.99

Acid Included: Yes
Battery Type: AGM
Battery Usage: Auto/Truck
BCI Group Size: H8
Cold Cranking Amps: 900
Cranking Amps: 1000
Deep Cycle/Starting: Dual Purpose
Height: 7.5
Length: 13.94
Maintenance Free: Yes
Reserve Capacity: 160
Terminal Type: SAE
Weight: 59.45
Width: 6.938

All the specs are exactly the same as my OEM battery (including size & hole for vent tube) - new battery is 92Ah - better than my original 90Ah, but close enough to not have to code...

They state they will install battery for Free (don't know if that applies to BMW trunk mount or not), but I did my own install.

> If you are replacing battery with new battery of same specs:

Just be certain to Register your new battery after install. There are (3) methods to register as a DIY - in order of ease (if you have the appropriate hardware/software):

#1 BT (BavarianTech) Cable/Software
#2 INPA style Cable + BMWLogger Software
#3 INPA style Cable + NCS Expert Software

> If you are replacing battery with new battery of different specs:

You will also need to 'code' the new battery as well as register it - link to battery coding procedure:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...4&d=1387485193

For coding you will need to use INPA Cable + NCSExpert Software, and then Register using any of the above mentioned...

Did you contact Johnson Controls for the Ah rating? I'm looking at the non-AGM H8 battery for myself, but can't find the Ah rating anywhere online (even though the RC is the same).

There is a formula that supposedly gets you close to the Ah rating if it's not published:

Amp/Hr = (Reserve Capacity/2)+16

The Ah of my battery was printed on the battery label itself...
